Metrics Master Income Trust (ASX: MXT) has lodged its Appendix 4E Preliminary Final Report for the year ended 30 June 2026, marking the first formal disclosure of results for the financial year. The financial information presented remains unaudited and subject to completion of audit procedures and Board approval.

The timing of this preliminary report reflects the ongoing nature of the Fund’s external audit. KPMG, the Fund’s auditor, has advised that as of 31 August 2026, audit procedures remain incomplete. The firm continues to work through required procedures ahead of the statutory deadline of 30 September 2026, as mandated by the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). The preliminary report gives investors an early look at results, but final verified statements will follow by month’s end.

The Responsible Entity has made clear that amounts shown in this Preliminary Final Report may differ materially from the final audited Financial Report. This language serves as an explicit warning that the provisional numbers investors see today could shift once KPMG completes its procedures and the Board formally approves the 2026 financial statements. For MXT unitholders and prospective investors, the preliminary results provide a directional view of performance but should not be treated as final.

The announcement establishes a mechanism for material changes. The Responsible Entity commits to immediately make a further announcement if it becomes aware of any circumstance likely to materially affect the results or other information contained in the preliminary report. This provides assurance that any significant findings or adjustments emerging from the audit will be disclosed promptly rather than held until the final report.

The Fund is managed by Metrics Credit Partners Pty Ltd, with The Trust Company (RE Services) Limited serving as the Responsible Entity. The preliminary financial information has been prepared taking into account information provided by the fund manager, though ultimate responsibility for the statements rests with the Board and auditor.

For MXT investors, the key takeaway is that performance and financial position for the 30 June 2026 year have been disclosed on a preliminary basis, but full audited financial statements are expected by 30 September 2026. Any material variance between preliminary and final numbers will be flagged through additional ASX announcements. This announcement is price sensitive and has been flagged as material by the ASX.
