Inghams Group has released its 2026 Annual Report, showcasing the company as the largest integrated poultry producer across Australia and New Zealand. The integrated operating model supports operations across both countries, with a workforce of more than 8,200 employees managing the supply of chicken, turkey, and adjacent protein products to major retailers, quick service restaurants, food service distributors, wholesalers, and export markets.

The report’s structure reflects a material shift in corporate disclosure. Inghams has included its first mandatory Sustainability Report containing climate-related financial disclosure under AASB S2, detailed in the Directors’ Report. This represents a significant transparency milestone and provides investors with standardized climate risk and impact data. The company has also published a supporting sustainability reporting suite including the FY26 Sustainability Data Book, FY26 Sustainability Governance and Management Approach documentation, and the FY26 Modern Slavery Statement.

On the operational side, Inghams continues to emphasize animal welfare credentials as a market differentiator. All free range and barn raised broiler farms in Australia are RSPCA Certified, while New Zealand operations maintain SPCA Certification. These certifications reflect the company’s stated commitment to animal health and welfare, positioning animal welfare as a competitive dimension in customer procurement decisions. The company references its ambition to be customers’ first choice for poultry, suggesting welfare standards are part of its value proposition.

The company operates against the backdrop of a 2030 Sustainability Roadmap, which sets voluntary targets across environmental and social dimensions. The Sustainability Highlights section tracks progress against these targets, though the specific targets and achievements require review of the full documentation. The geographically diversified network across Australia and New Zealand is presented as providing scale, infrastructure, and expertise to meet customer requirements while minimizing agricultural and biosecurity risks and maintaining supply continuity.

For investors, the annual report’s financial figures appear in pages 01 to 33, though the company notes these have been rounded. The company also discloses that underlying results exclude profit or loss on asset sales, legal settlements, impairment, business transformation, intercompany loan FX losses, R&D tax provision, and restructuring charges, with these exclusions tax effected to determine underlying NPAT. This structure suggests material one-off or non-recurring items warrant careful review when assessing run-rate earnings.
