Omni Bridgeway has reported record cash investment proceeds for the 12 months to 30 June 2026, reaching A$350.5 million, up 49 percent on the prior year. The underlying investment performance remains strong, with the group generating a 2.3x multiple on invested capital across 80 full and partial completions. This sits within the normal range of variation compared to the company’s 2.4x full life-to-date MOIC across multiple decades and economic cycles, reinforcing consistent execution in its legal-assets focused business model.
New commitments reached A$712.2 million in FY26, a 38 percent increase on FY25, with assets under management growing 12 percent to A$5.9 billion. Management attributes the momentum to increased pipeline and opportunity set arising from global industry consolidation in alternative assets. The company is managing this growth within parameters of its capital-light strategy while maintaining disciplined deployment practices.
On the commercial side, fee income reached A$35.4 million, up 17 percent on the prior year, driven by both AUM growth and improving fee terms. This signals pricing power as the company scales. Cash operating expenses fell to A$67.1 million, down 20 percent on FY25 and well below the A$80 million budget. This cost discipline is translating into sharply improved cost coverage, which climbed to 53 percent from 36 percent in the prior year and exceeded internal targets.
Capital raising momentum has also been strong. The company reached its US$1 billion target for Funds 4/5 series II during FY26, with US$543.5 million added in the period. A$72.5 million in additional sidecar capital was raised. Management noted that OBL-only investment proceeds were initially below the anticipated range at 30 June, but this gap was materially bridged within six weeks of year-end, pointing to timing rather than structural weakness.
From an accounting perspective, total income reached A$182.2 million under IFRS standards, with net profit before tax of A$48.2 million. Book value per share declined marginally to A$2.96, while return on equity stood at 8.0 percent and earnings per share reached A$0.19.
The most significant narrative shift is the trajectory on cost coverage. The movement from 36 to 53 percent demonstrates material progress toward the FY28 target and signals the business is becoming increasingly self-sustaining through management fees rather than relying on carry income. This reduces cyclicality and improves resilience through economic cycles. Investors should monitor capital raising momentum, portfolio maturation driving further completions, and progress toward the FY28 cost coverage targets.
