Downer EDI Limited operates as an integrated facilities management and infrastructure services provider across Australia, New Zealand and international markets, with operations spanning transport, energy and utilities, and facilities. Transport activities include road network management, routine maintenance, asset management systems, spray sealing, asphalt laying and rollingstock and infrastructure work, together with construction services such as signalling, track and station projects, bridges, airports and roads. The energy and utilities business plans, designs, constructs, operates, maintains and decommissions power, gas and water network assets and mineral process equipment, while the facilities division delivers outsourced asset management and consulting services to education, health, government and defence clients.
Product and service capability extends to the manufacture and supply of bitumen based and asphalt products, and to the design and manufacture of life support services covering fleet maintenance, operations and comprehensive asset overhaul. Water related work spans the full lifecycle, from water and wastewater treatment to network construction and rehabilitation, end to end technology and communications solutions, and maintenance shutdowns, turnarounds and outage delivery for industrial and resources operators. Downer EDI Limited was incorporated in 1989 and is headquartered in Sydney, Australia.
