Auckland International Airport Limited provides airport facilities, supporting infrastructure, and aeronautical services in New Zealand, with operations organised into three areas, aeronautical, retail and carparking, and property. The aeronautical side covers the movement of aircraft, passengers, and cargo through the airport. Retail and carparking covers the terminal retail environment and the car parking used by passengers, visitors, and staff. Property covers airport land leased for uses outside the terminals.
The aeronautical operations also include the utility services that support the airport and the leasing of terminal space to airlines and other operators, while the retail and carparking side works with retailers trading inside the terminals as well as running the car parking facilities. The property portfolio extends to cargo buildings, hangars, and stand-alone investment properties situated on airport land beyond the terminal precinct. Auckland International Airport Limited was founded in 1966 and is headquartered in Manukau, New Zealand.
