Monadelphous Group has delivered a strong operational result for the 2026 financial year, with record revenue of $2.98 billion representing a 31.5% increase on the prior year. The standout feature of the result is the significant earnings expansion, with net profit after tax rising 52.1% to $127.3 million, indicating the company is translating revenue growth into genuine bottom-line performance.

The profit growth outpacing revenue growth reflects improving operational leverage across the business. EBITDA rose 42.9% to $226 million, delivering an EBITDA margin of 7.58%, which demonstrates the company’s ability to extract greater earnings from each dollar of sales as it scales operations. This operational gearing is a positive indicator of the company’s cost management and pricing discipline in a buoyant market.

Monadelphous operates through two divisions, each contributing meaningfully to the result. The Engineering Construction division generated $1.37 billion in revenue, up 48.5%, driven by service expansion and integrated delivery capability. The Maintenance and Industrial Services division reported record revenue of $1.61 billion, growing 20%, supported by elevated turnaround activity in energy and increased maintenance work with iron ore customers. The divergent growth rates reflect a deliberate shift toward more profitable integrated project delivery.

The strong headline numbers are underpinned by a robust order book. The company has secured more than $2.7 billion in new contracts and extensions since 1 July 2025, and has already locked in over $680 million of new work in the current financial year. This visibility supports the near-term outlook and suggests activity levels should remain elevated in the year ahead.

Shareholders have also benefited from the earnings growth, with earnings per share rising 50.1% to 127.6 cents. The Board declared a final dividend of 59 cents per share fully franked, bringing the full-year dividend to 108 cents, up 50% on the prior year. This substantial increase reflects confidence in both current profitability and forward-looking cash generation.

Strategically, Monadelphous has expanded its service offering through acquisitions of Kerman Contracting, Australian Power Industry Partners, and High Energy Service. These acquisitions broaden the company’s integrated delivery capability and position it to capture opportunities emerging from Australia’s energy transition, where demand for infrastructure investment in generation, storage and transmission is expected to accelerate.

Investors should monitor order book momentum in coming quarters, execution risk on the enlarged project portfolio, and the successful integration of recent acquisitions.
