Monadelphous Group (ASX: MND) – MND Files 2025 Annual Report

Monadelphous Group Limited reported record annual revenue of $2.98 billion for the financial year ended 30 June 2026, representing growth of 31.5 percent year-on-year. More significant than the top-line expansion was the earnings performance, with net profit after tax climbing 52.1 percent to $127.3 million. This acceleration in earnings growth relative to revenue growth reflects the operational leverage the company has achieved during its period of rapid expansion across its core markets in resources, energy, and infrastructure.

The earnings lift was driven by strong operational execution and improving economies of scale. EBITDA reached $226 million, up 42.9 percent, translating to an EBITDA margin of 7.58 percent. Performance across both operating divisions contributed meaningfully. The Engineering Construction division delivered revenue of $1.37 billion, a 48.5 percent increase attributable to significant project activity in the iron ore sector and growth in integrated services offerings. The Maintenance and Industrial Services division reached $1.61 billion in revenue, up 20 percent, as maintenance and shutdown activity remained elevated across energy and iron ore customers. The company entered the new financial year with more than $2.7 billion in new contracts and extensions, providing substantial visibility into future revenue.

Beyond organic growth, management has pursued strategic acquisitions to expand service capability and market reach. The acquisition of Kerman Contracting in November 2025 added non-process infrastructure design and construction services. Australian Power Industry Partners and High Energy Service broadened the company’s high-voltage electrical offerings, positioning it to capture opportunities in electrical transmission infrastructure and energy transition projects. These acquisitions appear strategically aligned with management’s identified growth themes around renewable energy, battery energy storage systems, critical minerals demand, and Australia’s broader energy transition.

The company’s balance sheet remains strong, with cash balances of $293.6 million at year-end. Cash conversion from earnings was particularly robust at 147.4 percent, driven by material advances received on large construction contracts. The board declared a fully franked final dividend of 59 cents per share, taking the full-year dividend to 108 cents per share, representing an 85 percent payout ratio. This dividend level appears sustainable given cash generation levels, though future capital requirements for acquisitions or working capital could influence capital allocation decisions.

The company also reported solid progress on operational metrics. Total workforce, including subcontractors, reached a record 9,365 people. Safety performance improved notably, with the Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate declining 19 percent to 3.57 incidents per million hours worked, a meaningful achievement during a period of significant headcount growth and increased activity levels. Investors should monitor the sustainability of margins as activity levels normalise, the execution of recent acquisitions in delivering synergies, and the company’s performance on the substantial pipeline of energy transition related opportunities now in its order book.
