Omni Bridgeway Limited has delivered a strong opening quarter for FY27, with investment multiples significantly above historical averages, accelerating management fees, and a major capital raise closed on improved terms. The group achieved a 3.9x multiple on A$135.8 million of completion proceeds from 20 investments, substantially above the 2.5x trailing two-year average and indicating solid underlying portfolio performance.
The quarter reflects broad-based activity. Eleven full and nine partial completions generated A$135.8 million in proceeds at a fair value conversion ratio of 102%, meaning valuations proved accurate. Management fees reached A$10.7 million, up 24 percent year-over-year, with the final close of Funds 4 and 5 Series II at the full US$1 billion target on improved terms expected to accelerate fee growth toward the higher end of full-year guidance. Cash carried interest of A$9.4 million was distributed during the quarter, with a further A$8.6 million accrued on Series II funds awaiting distribution.
The Series II final close at US$1 billion underpins future growth expectations. The 99 percent Series I reinvestment rate and over 50 percent contribution to new capital demonstrates investor confidence in the business model. Improved commercial terms suggest Omni Bridgeway has strengthened its negotiating position, supporting management’s expectation of accelerating fee growth in coming quarters.
Operationally, results track well against full-year targets. New commitments of A$87.1 million to nine investments were 23 percent higher than the prior-year quarter, with fair value of A$81.2 million attached to these commitments. The pipeline remains elevated at 46 exclusive term sheets representing estimated commitments of A$416.6 million. Cash operating expenses of A$15.7 million position the group below its full-year guidance of A$72.5 million to A$75 million, with a cost coverage ratio of 68 percent reflecting the strong fee base.
The group held OBL-only cash and receivables of A$122.5 million at quarter end, supporting deployment flexibility and financial strength. Management expects momentum to continue from the elevated pipeline and late-stage portfolio investments. The next quarterly investment portfolio report is scheduled for release on 29 January 2027.
