Reece Limited has released its FY26 Annual Report, providing shareholders with a comprehensive overview of the group’s performance across its diversified geographic and product portfolio. The group operates as one of the Asia-Pacific’s leading distributors of plumbing, waterworks and HVAC-R products, operating approximately 1,000 branches across Australia, New Zealand and the United States with a workforce of around 9,000 employees.

The scale of the group’s operations is substantial. ANZ revenue for FY26 reached $4.2 billion, while the US business generated $3.5 billion USD in revenue. This geographic diversification provides important counterbalance within a portfolio that spans both established and emerging markets. The US operations have expanded considerably since the group’s entry into that market in 2018, demonstrating the group’s ability to execute offshore expansion at scale.

Reece’s positioning in its core markets is reinforced by several structural tailwinds. Housing undersupply in both ANZ and the United States represents a long-term driver of demand for building and maintenance products. The regions where Reece operates face documented undersupply relative to population growth, which should provide sustained demand for the group’s products regardless of broader economic cycles. Additionally, the sector is experiencing rapid evolution through efficiency improvements and electrification in heating, cooling and water technologies, creating opportunities for upgraded product adoption.

Supporting this demand environment are favorable policy settings. Both regions are investing heavily in critical infrastructure to support growing populations, creating additional stimulus for commercial and residential building activity. The combination of demographic pressure, infrastructure investment and technological transition creates an extended runway for distributors positioned to serve these changes.

The group’s business model reflects deliberate diversification across multiple product segments including plumbing, bathrooms and kitchens, HVAC-R, waterworks, irrigation and pools, and fire protection products. This breadth reduces reliance on any single product category and positions the group to capture opportunity across a customer’s total spend. The customer base itself is diversified between commercial and residential segments and between tradies and homeowners.

For investors, Reece’s annual report signals a business built to weather economic cycles while capturing structural growth. The group’s 100-plus year history demonstrates resilience through multiple downturns, while the current positioning in secular growth themes like housing shortage and efficiency transition suggests tailwinds that extend beyond typical cycle dynamics. The key metrics to monitor are the detailed financial performance within the annual report itself, including revenue growth trajectory, profit margins and capital deployment, plus the pace of US integration and technology adoption as the industry modernizes.
