Scentre Group has notified the market of a half-year distribution of AUD 0.09215 per security for the period ended 30 June 2026, with payment scheduled for 31 August 2026. The distribution comes ahead of the company’s scheduled results announcement on 25 August, giving investors a clear picture of the cash return policy for the first half of the financial year.

The distribution represents the company’s commitment to returning cash to unitholders during what has been a challenging retail property environment. Investors on the record date of 14 August will be entitled to the payment, with an ex-date of 13 August 2026. Scentre Group is offering a full Dividend Reinvestment Plan, allowing securityholders to elect to automatically reinvest their distributions into additional units at a price to be determined by the company’s DRP terms. The DRP election date is 17 August 2026 at 5 PM, providing investors with a specific window to make their choice before the distribution is processed.

For investors outside Australia, Scentre Group continues to provide currency flexibility. While distributions are ordinarily paid in Australian dollars, securityholders can request payment in New Zealand dollars directly to a NZD bank account, subject to submission of a valid request to the Share Registry by close of business on the record date. This arrangement reflects the company’s significant investor base across the Tasman and demonstrates accommodation of practical banking preferences.

The timing of this distribution announcement is noteworthy given that Scentre Group’s half-year results will follow just two weeks later on 25 August. This sequencing allows investors to see the distribution decision before receiving the full financial performance data for the first half, which will include detailed commentary on rental growth, occupancy rates, and any shifts in capital management strategy. The results announcement will include the Appendix 4D lodgement, containing key financial metrics and management commentary on trading conditions in the retail property sector.

The 0.09215 per security payment reflects Scentre Group’s position as a major ASX-listed real estate investment trust. Those electing to participate in the DRP will benefit from any appreciation in unit price, with reinvestment terms to be detailed in the formal distribution documentation. The 31 August payment date provides sufficient processing time after the record date cutoff.

Investors should watch the 25 August results announcement closely for management commentary on distribution sustainability, refinancing activities, and any changes to capital allocation policy. The half-year results will provide essential context for understanding whether the current distribution level is sustainable and what guidance management provides for the second half of the financial year. This announcement is price sensitive and has been flagged as material by the ASX.
