Premier Investments reported a statutory net profit after tax of $129.2 million for the year ended 25 July 2026, reflecting continued strength in its Peter Alexander brand despite a challenging retail environment. Peter Alexander delivered record sales of $565.3 million, growing 3.2% on the prior year’s record, demonstrating sustained customer loyalty and effective brand positioning in a period when discretionary spending faced headwinds from cost of living pressures across its key markets.
The growth in Peter Alexander was underpinned by strategic store expansion, with four new stores opened and five relocated or expanded during the year, alongside the launch of the Peter’s Dreamers loyalty program in October 2025. The program acquired more than 1.4 million members within its first ten months, providing management with valuable customer data and engagement opportunities. The strong performance from Peter Alexander offset a 12.9% decline in Smiggle sales to $230.2 million, as the brand executed a planned strategic repositioning aimed at realigning the business to its core 6 to 12-year-old customer through product innovation, elevated marketing, and refreshed visual merchandising.
Premier Retail generated global sales of $793.7 million with an earnings before interest and tax margin of 22.2%, reflecting disciplined cost management that largely offset inflationary pressures. Inventory levels improved substantially, declining 8.9% to $96.7 million, which management described as providing both brands with a sound platform for the critical trading period ahead. The Group’s balance sheet remained a competitive advantage, with cash holdings of $391.4 million and a 25.2% investment in Breville Group Limited valued at approximately $1.08 billion at year end.
The Board approved total fully franked dividends of 81 cents per share for the year, representing a 62% increase on the prior year. This comprised an interim dividend of 45 cents paid in August 2026 and a final dividend of 36 cents. The dividend increase was supported by the Group’s strong financial position and reflects management confidence in the business despite the uncertain consumer environment. An on-market share buyback program, announced in December 2025, continues as part of the capital management strategy.

The trajectory of Peter Alexander’s loyalty program and its impact on customer lifetime value will also warrant attention, as will early indicators of consumer spending trends in the Group’s key markets during the current financial year.
