Codan Limited develops technology solutions for a broad customer base that includes United Nations organisations, security and military agencies, government departments, corporates, individual consumers, and small-scale miners. The company operates through two core segments, Communications and Metal Detection, selling its products via a network of dealers, distributors, and agents across Australia, Canada, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil, India, Ireland, Mexico, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and other international markets.

The Communications segment designs, manufactures, and markets equipment spanning DTC radio solutions for wireless transmission of video and data applications as well as Zetron communications solutions. The Metal Detection segment produces handheld metal detecting technologies serving recreational, gold mining, demining, and military markets. Incorporated in 1959, Codan is headquartered in Mawson Lakes, Australia.
