About BWP (ASX: BWP)
BWP Trust is an Australian real estate investment trust listed on the Australian Securities Exchange that invests in and manages commercial properties across Australia. The portfolio is concentrated in large format retailing properties, predominantly Bunnings Warehouses leased to Bunnings Group Limited, the leading retailer of home improvement and lifestyle products in Australia and New Zealand and a major supplier to project builders, commercial tradespeople, and the housing industry.
Until August 2025 the trust was externally managed by BWP Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wesfarmers Limited. Unitholders approved the internationalisation of management in July 2025, resulting in the formation of a stapled group comprising BWP Trust and a new entity, BWP Property Group Limited, with BWP Management Limited continuing as responsible entity under that structure. Wesfarmers, one of Australia's largest listed companies and the parent of Bunnings, held 22.3 per cent of issued units in BWP as at 30 June 2025. BWP Trust was established in 1998 and is headquartered in Australia.
